Plagiarism means the copying of another person’s material and using such copied material as if it were one’s own work, without citing a quotation or stating a source. (SAOB, book 20 [in translation])
As a part of our MoU with UGC-INFLIBNET Centre , Jadavpur University provided an anti-plagiarism software called URKUND that allowed to detect plagiarism in project work, academic paper, article, theses, or any other research or innovation related work .
The INFLIBNET Centre now offers the 'DrillBit-Extreme Plagiarism Detection Software' to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) as part of the same ShodhShuddhi initiative. The trial phase for this software was scheduled for October 2023, with full-fledged service commenced on November 1, 2023.
